NATURE AND ART-BASED CHILDREN'S PROGRAM
The Earth School House will offer a nature-based children’s program that will provide enriching hands-on activities and excursions for guest children. Programs will run Monday through Friday with full and half day options providing maximum flexibility for independent adult activities.
EARTH SCHOOL HOUSE ACTIVITIES
The morning program will focus on outdoor activities including supervised free play in the playground, field trips to Fisherman’s Beach to see the day’s catch or to local farms, nature walks, and hands-on lessons in sustainable living.
Afternoon programs will include activities such as handwork and crafts, cooking, painting, drawing, woodworking, organic gardening, building and outdoor games. Children will be divided into age groups and the week’s activities planned around the families who pre-enroll their children into the program.
WALDORF INSPIRED CURRICULUM
The Earth School House programs are being modeled on the educational style of Rudolf Steiner/Waldorf schools, which aim to engage and nourish each child’s innate curiosity and love of learning.
