PROMOTING LOCAL ARTISTS
Treasure Beach has many talented and skilled artists and craftspeople. Part of the Community Economic Development Program (CEDP), Treasure Beach Arts will promote their work by consigning items in the Boutique and offering display space around the resort. Periodically, Lola's will curate a solo or group art show and host an artist reception for the community.
EXPANDING ARTISTIC SCOPE
Lola's would also like to work specifically with the craftspeople to expand their scope of products and designs and offer creative direction to better address modern aesthetics and increase saleability. Many craftspeople seem to duplicate the same ideas as other artists without developing their own talent or seeking to create something new. Lola's will coordinate workshops for local artists with visiting artists to encourage a sharing of ideas and cross-cultural appreciation.
ONLINE MARKETPLACE
In the future, Lola's plans to develop an online market place for local products that can be shipped worldwide.
